Mortal Chocolate Cookies
Mortal Chocolate Cookies (Finish Them!)
I spent about a year perfecting these, which are based off of a standard chocolate chip cookie recipe. These are heavy on the chocolate, but oh so good!
INGREDIENTS
1 c. butter, softened
12 tbsp. superfine sugar
12 tbsp. dark brown sugar
12 oz baker's chocolate, bittersweet
2 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 c. flour
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the Baker's chocolate in the microwave in 45 second bursts, stirring in between each burst, until completely melted. Set aside.
Cream the butter & sugars together in a separate bowl until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla, and beat until just combined.
Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl and set aside.
Slowly mix the chocolate in with the rest of the wet ingredients. Then add the dry ingredients in small amounts until completely combined. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop 1-inch diameter balls of cookie dough onto parchment paper, about an inch apart, then bake at 350 for 7-10 minutes.
NOTES
If scaling 2x, then add an extra egg to keep the cookies from falling apart.
