Halloweeny Pumpkin Kitty

As I said, I love Halloween, and this year I’m (re)learning how to crochet. NATURALLY, I gravitate towards things creepy and cute. This one was fun to make, and interesting to find out how much I’ve learned just by making Woobles kits and granny squares from YouTube tutorials.

And yes, I know one of his ears is bigger than the other. Still working on my tension! :)

How it's been going...

I finished this one in May and just forgot to take a picture of the finished work. It’s hard to tell, but as I was finishing it I opened a can of hard cider that exploded in bright pink all over the fabric. So I stained it with some red wine as well, but I think I need to do it again so it’s more obvious. But it seemed fitting.

It's no secret that I love Halloween...

This weekend the kid and her bestie and I headed to the craft store for some birthday party supplies. OF COURSE, there was a ton of Halloween decor already out and discounted, and OF COURSE I ended up coming home with some of it.

When I saw this metal thing, I knew I needed to have it and turn it into a Halloweeny diorama. Kid’s bestie and I collaborated on what to use for wallpaper, flooring, what to put inside… and by the time it was all done I ended up with a couple of things that didn’t fit, but that’s OK. I clearly need to make more!

So, behold! Halloweeny Diorama FTW! There are creepy windows, and lights, and creepy lenticular portraits on the wall. This was really such a fun, and quick, project and now it’s happily sitting on my sideboard.
